Year Two of Manitou’s Farm to Table (camp table) program was a huge success. Chef Alex introduced a Campfire Cooking culinary program that he will build upon in 2014. He is already hard at work planning next summer’s menu to ensure a delicious and balanced offering for our pickiest eaters to our most sophisticated foodies.

Meetings are held throughout the year with our farm-to-table friends in Maine to incorporate local produce into the menu and to help our farmers plan what and when to plant what we need. We’re also building the on the success of our compost and recycling programs this summer. Quality composted soil has already been distributed around camp and we’ll have even more come spring planting.

Phase Three of this initiative begins this spring!
